From Tlaquepaque, Ana María learned glass stretching at age 17 in a workshop that produced stirrers, guided by her husband, the artisan Serapio Medrano, and her grandmother Paula Rodríguez Corona.
With 37 years of experience, she has innovated and contributed significantly to this technique. She has exhibited her work across Mexico and in U.S. cities such as Los Angeles, Milwaukee, and Chicago.
With Fundación Causa Azul A.C., she has participated in Guardianas de la Cultura. For Ana María, being a Guardian of Culture is an honor that represents sharing ancestral knowledge.
