The use of vegetal fibers has been of great importance to humanity since ancient times. Great masters of folk art have managed to transform this raw material into beautiful woven pieces using various materials such as ocochal, palm, corn leaf, ixtle, tule, otate, horsehair, and agave fiber.
This technique has been perfected over the years, becoming one of the most representative of various regions in Mexico. Some traditionally made crafts include baskets, hats, vases, bags, jewelry, among others.
