Celestina Faustina Acevedo Olea

From Guadalajara, Celestina belongs to the third generation of palm fiber artisans. She learned from her parents and her teacher Leonila Carrión at age 7. Her work is known for its fine weaving.

She has been part of collectives including Tekio, Manos Indígenas Trabajando, and Alma Mixteca.

She participated in the photographic exhibition 'Detrás de una artesanía' with Fundación Causa Azul A.C. For Celestina, being a Guardian of Culture means love, respect, and responsibility.
