Mujeres Raíces is a collective formed by women artisans from five indigenous communities: Wixárika, Purépecha, Otomí, Mixteca, and Nahuas.

They practice various artisanal techniques such as embroidery, pedal loom weaving, waist loom weaving, beadwork, palm weaving, woodwork, and pottery.

This collective was established to reinforce the unity among women, making their work as artisans visible and emphasizing the importance of collaborating to preserve their cultures and sense of identity.

As Guardians of Culture, their mission is to showcase the diversity, cultural richness, and traditions of indigenous peoples.
